    1. Check in volunteers will register guests, assign guests bidder numbers, and direct guests regarding the event. *Strong computer proficiency required*

    2. Assist with unloading truck, ensuring signs and banners are in place and everything is in its designated area. Throwing linens on tables. Setting up and displaying silent auction packages. Setting up event activity stations. *Requires physical work.

    3. Act as guests’ hosts and provide information to individuals for the event. You set the tone of the room and are responsible for directing or walking guests from check in to their assigned tables (map provided). Please be warm and welcoming while greeting as many guests as possible. If a guest has a question, try to find the answer rather than sending them off to another location. Scope the room, understand the layout and the event flow.

    4. Sell Kennel of Spirits and Cat-tail Carrier Raffle Tickets to our guests. Volunteers have to be willing to approach guests and ask them to purchase tickets. Must be very personable, upbeat, friendly, engaging and outgoing. Some volunteers will be selling tickets at the kennel of spirits station and some will be roaming.

    5. The line managers are a crucial role of Paws, Claws & Corks as you are the first people our guests interact with and it is vital that our guests have a great first impression. Be warm and welcoming while greeting as many guests as possible. Check attendees IDs, give a wristband if over 21, direct guests to the check in area, manage flow, etc.

    6. Assist interested guests in signing up to become a P.A.W.S. member (monthly donor) to help sustain HSWM’s mission in any dollar amount of their choice. Walk them through the paperwork process. Guests who sign up to become a member at the event will receive a complimentary bottle of wine.

    7. Assist with tearing down of materials & supplies, packing at the conclusion of the event, and loading the truck. *Requires physical work.

    8. Remain by the silent auction table to monitor bidding, answer questions, and promote bidding on items. Must have engaging personality and ability to multi-task. Once silent auction closes volunteers will assist with packing up and tearing down auction tables. Volunteers will stay until the end of the event to assist with the check-out process by handing out auction items to winners. Ability to use a tablet comfortably preferred.

    9. Manage the line of guests who wish to participate in the wine pull. Collecting cash or writing down bidder numbers for payment of $20/bottle of wine. Guests will pull a mystery bottle of wine off the rack that has it’s label covered and will be surprised by pulling a high end, mid-grade, or everyday quality bottle of wine.
