Thanks to compassionate donors like you, the Humane Society of West Michigan is able to provide crucial assistance to animals in need. From emergency housing and free pet food pantries to adoption services and disaster relief efforts, HSWM stands as a vital refuge for animals both locally and nationally.
Allow me to introduce you to Jabba, a remarkable six-year-old dog whose journey exemplifies the impact of your generosity. Transferred to us via airplane from a California shelter devastated by wildfires, Jabba arrived uncertain yet filled with hope—hope made possible by supporters like you.
As soon as Jabba stepped paw into our shelter, his playful spirit and zest for life captured the hearts of everyone around him. He quickly became a beloved figure, cherishing the company of people, delighting in playtime with other dogs, and showing a particular fondness for children. His charming antics even earned him a spot on local news, endearing him to viewers across West Michigan!
After a short stay with us, Jabba found his forever home with a loving family who recognized the joy and potential he had to offer. His story is not only a testament to his resilience but also a powerful reminder of the countless animals who depend on your support to find safety, love, and a second chance at life.
Every dollar you donate to the Humane Society of West Michigan makes a meaningful difference in the lives of animals just like Jabba. Your contributions help us cover essential costs, including medical care, food, shelter, and adoption services. With your generosity, we can continue rescuing and rehabilitating animals from all walks of life, giving them the opportunity to thrive in loving homes.
As we reflect on the difference we can make together, I humbly ask for your support. Would you consider making a donation today? No matter the size, your gift will directly help animals in need, ensuring they receive the care they desperately deserve.
Thank you for being a champion for the animals in our community. Together, we can continue to bring hope and second chances to those who cannot speak for themselves.

In Support of Humane Society of West Michigan
Humane Society of West Michigan, a 501(c)3 non profit organization, assists over 8,000 animals annually. We are 100% donor-funded! We receive no funding from the government or national animal welfare organizations. Caring individuals and businesses in our community support our mission to rescue hurt, abused and abandoned animals and find them a new forever home. Additional programs help reduce pet overpopulation, provide assistance to low income pet owners, behaviorally assess animals and reunite lost pets with their owners.
