Help make the 9th Annual Tots & Tails event our best one yet!
Hosted at Blue Dog Tavern and sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka, this popular event features adoptable dogs, a silent auction, and a fun evening supporting Humane Society of West Michigan. Volunteer opportunities are available in two shifts. Duties will vary throughout your shift based on event needs, and every role helps make this event a success for the animals in our care.
Volunteers may assist with:
-Set Up: Unload event supplies and puppies, and help prepare the event space.
-Silent Auction: Monitor auction items, answer basic questions, and help guests use the QR code to place bids.
-Puppy Support: Keep the puppy area clean, ensure guests sign a waiver before interacting with the puppies, demonstrate safe handling, and provide puppy snuggles during downtime.
-Tear Down: Help distribute auction items to winners, pack supplies, and load HSWM vehicles.

Humane Society of West Michigan, a 501(c)3 non profit organization, assists over 8,000 animals annually. We are 100% donor-funded! We receive no funding from the government or national animal welfare organizations. Caring individuals and businesses in our community support our mission to rescue hurt, abused and abandoned animals and find them a new forever home. Additional programs help reduce pet overpopulation, provide assistance to low income pet owners, behaviorally assess animals and reunite lost pets with their owners.
