A Message From Alexis Siegel

Help Wilma Jean & I raise funds! This is my 3rd year of helping support the Humane Society of West Michigan by volunteering on the committee for their Bark in the Dark event. I also help by finding local sponsors and encouraging my friends & family to support a cause that is near and dear to my heart. As many of you may know, my beloved childhood dog, Daphne was a rescue from the Humane Society of West Michigan. Ever since her passing I have made it my mission to support this organization in any way I am a capable of. I have donated funds, raised awareness, volunteered my time as a dog walker, and I continue to serve as a committee member for this event. Last year I personally raised $560 in donations for the pets in need, beating my goal of $500. This year I am again aiming for $500 in funds plus $5,000 in sponsorship dollars. Join me in achieving this goal and help our canine and felines in need! Fun Facts: - The HSWM is able to keep event costs low and in turn give 88% of the funds earned from this event straight to the animals! That is incredible considering the size and undertaking involved in this event. -$10 provides a behavioral evaluation for 1 animal $20 provides microchips for 5 animals ensure proper identification and help unite owners with lost pets post- adoption $30 provides 1 day of care for 1 animal at HSWM $50 provides for the spay or neuter of 1 animal

In Support of Humane Society of West Michigan
Humane Society of West Michigan, a 501(c)3 non profit organization, assists over 8,000 animals annually. We are 100% donor-funded! We receive no funding from the government or national animal welfare organizations. Caring individuals and businesses in our community support our mission to rescue hurt, abused and abandoned animals and find them a new forever home. Additional programs help reduce pet overpopulation, provide assistance to low income pet owners, behaviorally assess animals and reunite lost pets with their owners.
