Meet Milkshake—the cat who has never met a heart she couldn’t steal or a nap she couldn’t take. Milkshake was adopted in 2021 at the Humane Society of West Michigan. Milkshake has an irresistibly adorable face, a cute pink nose, expert-level napping skills, and a serious talent for bird watching. She stops to admire or "bop" the flowers, poses like she knows exactly how cute she is, and somehow manages to leave everyone completely smitten wherever she goes. She and her sister, Freya, enjoy chasing each other when they get a case of the zoomies! If the Humane Society of West Michigan needs a billboard star who can prove that shelter cats are loving, beautiful, hilarious, and capable of completely taking over your life—in the best possible way—Milkshake is ready for her close-up.

We receive no funding from the government or national animal welfare organizations. Caring individuals and businesses in our community support our mission to rescue hurt, abused and abandoned animals and find them a new forever home. Additional programs help reduce pet overpopulation, provide assistance to low income pet owners, behaviorally assess animals and reunite lost pets with their owners.
