We adopted Sofa and Sunny from the Human Society of West Michigan. Sofa is a super soft, predominately black cat, with a white spot on his tummy. We suspect that he had a rough early life because he has two kinks in his tail. You can only tell if you're running your hand along his tail because it's so fluffy. We almost lost Sofa when he ingested some red thread while we were away on a short trip. It became wrapped around the base of his tongue. Our veterinarian was able to see the thin thread wrapped around his tongue and refer us to an emergency animal hospital where he under went scary surgery to take care of the wrapped thread and also remove part of his intestine which was damaged. Through all of this - the vet visit, the time as the emergency hospital, and his time at home suffering while we discovered that his behavior was a little off - Sofa was still the friendliest cat. He purred through his pain! He remains alive and full of spunk to this day, and our family enjoys this fuzzy cat who has many nicknames. Sofa would love to be featured on a billboard to support the Human Society of West Michigan. Please vote for Sofa!
