A Message From Audrey Hoisington
Pippa is proof that you can find your forever home, no matter how scary the road looks. As a kitten, she was incredibly skittish, took time to learn trust, and wasn't quick to come out and play with the others. This resulted in her being "returned" after adoption, as her new family had wanted a kitten who would be bold and come out and play immediately. When we adopted her, she was terrified and refused to leave her safe crate, but after giving her lots of time, space, and kind words, she's blossomed into such a sweet, affectionate girl--with a little spice and sass to back it up, earning her the nickname "Pipparoni"! She's gained so much confidence and trust and is living her best life snoozing in the sunshine, or else begging for playtime, pets, and of course her truest of loves: churus. And while sometimes she does still get a little scared of loud noises and surprise visitors, she bounces back with a curiosity that melts the heart.

In Support of Humane Society of West Michigan
Humane Society of West Michigan, a 501(c)3 non profit organization, assists over 8,000 animals annually. We are 100% donor-funded! We receive no funding from the government or national animal welfare organizations. Caring individuals and businesses in our community support our mission to rescue hurt, abused and abandoned animals and find them a new forever home. Additional programs help reduce pet overpopulation, provide assistance to low income pet owners, behaviorally assess animals and reunite lost pets with their owners.
